Nursery at Brenzett
Brenzett C.E Primary School, together with the Governing Body, is proposing to permanently change the age range of Brenzett C.E Primary School from 4-11 years to 2-11 years.
Dear Parents/Carers, Students, Staff, Governors, and Other Interested Parties
Introduction
Brenzett C.E Primary School, together with the Governing Body, is seeking the views of parents, staff and other stakeholders on a proposal to permanently change the age range of the school from 4-11 years to 2-11 years, to enable the school to offer a number of 2 and 3 year-old places from January 2026 at a new on-site Nursery. The consultation opens today, Friday 12th September and will close on Friday 24th October 2025. At the end of this 6 week consultation period, the Governing Body will review the responses received and will decide whether to proceed to the next stage.
What change is being proposed?
Brenzett C.E Primary School currently offers an educational provision from 4 years of age. The proposal is to lower the age range in order to admit pupils from the age of 2 years old in order to meet the needs of our families who have younger children. Our surveys show that many families would prefer to have all of their children in one provision to reduce the amount of school drop-offs and collections and to ease the transition into Reception Class when that time comes. We would also like to provide a service to other local families in the area who are seeking a small, nurturing nursery provision.

Many thanks!
